The main constituent of Policosanol in Cuban sugar cane waxes is octacosanol (octacosyl alcohol; 63% of the total primary aliphatic alcohols). Other major components include triacontanol (13%) and hexacosanol (6%)

Additionally, Policosanol is known for helping to lower LDL cholesterol. Provides antioxidants. Helps in the development and maintenance of bones, joint cartilage, teeth and gums.
